Another little milestone, a big thank you to National Book Tokens and Caboodle for making us Bookshop of the Month!
Owning and running a bookshop is not like working in a toothpaste factory like Mr Bucket or indeed or indeed living as a caveman in a theme park like the unnamed narrator in Pastoralia by George Saunders - nevertheless it does take a lot of grit and determination to keep fighting the good fight against the online giants and the occasional member of Government who feels our High Streets and the indie stores who occupy them are surplus to requirements!
Therefore to all of you who Caboodle, to all of you who follow our Blog, come to our Lit Fest, join our bookish events and all of you who continue to spend your hard earned cash in indie bookshops like The Madhatter we thank you from the bottom of our hearts!
